The Foundling Museum explores the history of the Foundling Hospital, the UK’s first children’s charity and first public art gallery.
Celebrate the power of individuals and the arts to change lives and discover the moving story of the Foundling Hospital and the children who grew up there through amazing artworks and objects. Hetty Feather Trail - Explore the Collection and Hetty’s life at the Foundling Hospital through a range of art-based activities. (Available from the Museum Shop for £1.50)
Family Art Trolley - packed with art-based activities for adults and children to do together as they explore the exhibition. (FREE)
Dressing-up Rail - Dress up as a foundling boy or girl using historical costumes (FREE)
Family Interactive Stations - Build a model of the Foundling Hospital, personalise a bed for a foundling or design a new Foundling Hospital building! (FREE)
Get closer to the Museum’s Collections with free handling sessions on the 27th July & 31st August (suitable for ages 3+)
Why not make the most of your visit? The Foundling Museum does not have a café on the premises. However, they do have a deal with Leon (in the Brunswick Centre) where a discount can be used on food and drink purchases, ask the team at reception for full details. During fine weather, families can also visit Coram's Fields, which is a 5-minute walk away, where there is a cafe and lovely space to have a picnic.
