December 3, 2015

For most women, grooming is very essential. Whether it’s tweezing eye brows or having nice nails, its good to have a grooming kit which contains everything you need in one place.

There are lots of grooming kits available in stores and online containing an array of grooming tools. There are kits for facial grooming and body grooming. You can also build your own grooming kit based on your needs. Below is a list of five items which should be in a woman’s grooming kit

1. Tweezers
Tweezers are very useful in any grooming kit. They are used to pluck hair from the upper lip and eyebrows or any stray hairs growing on your face or body. Depending on the shape of the tweezers they can be used for removing ingrown hairs or splinters. So it’s a good idea to get a nice pair of tweezers for your kit. Tweezers are available in most pharmacies and also from leading online stores Chemist 4 u, Beauty Expert.

2. Nail clippers
There are two types of nail clippers: one for fingers and one for toes. The finger nail clippers are usually smaller than toe nail clippers. There are many different types of nail clippers in stores so pick the ones which don’t feel too bulky in your hands and have sharp blades. Nail clippers can also be used to clip the dead skin around the nails, but you have to be careful when doing that. These products are also available online from retailers like Feelunique.com and Chemist.net.

3. Cuticle pusher, Nail cleaner & Nail file
Although cuticle pusher, nail cleaners and nail files are separate tools, they are often combined into one with one end of the nail file having the cuticle pusher and one end having the nail cleaner. Opt to get this multiuse tool since that will save space.

A cuticle pusher is used for pushing back the cuticle, which is the dead skin at the base of the nail. When a cuticle is pushed back it makes the nail look longer. This is a great tool to have in your kit if you like to wear nail polish.

A nail cleaner is used to clean out the dirt which can gather beneath your nails. Many women tend to have long nails. Some prefer long nails, but most women don’t get the chance to trim their nails daily. It is absolutely essential to have a nail cleaner in your grooming kit because having dirt under the nails is very unsightly.

A nail file is used to smooth the edges of the nails. You can use a nail file after clipping your nails to finish off or you can use them without having clipped nails. A nail file can also be used to shape your nails! Since a nail file doesn’t cut away a big piece of the nail, but rather slowly files away the nail, it is a great tool to have if you like to shape your nails or give a finishing touch.

Scissors

4. Scissors
Scissors are a great multi use tools. You can use scissors to trim and or shape your nails. They can also be used to trim away eyebrow hairs which are too long. Lastly scissors with a pointed end can be used to trim nose hair, though there are nose hair trimmers specifically for that purpose.

5. Shaving razor
This is a great tool to have in any grooming kit; men’s or women’s kit. A razor is used to shave hair anywhere on the body. It can be used on arms, under arms, legs, bikini area and anywhere else you don’t want hair. There are disposable razors available in the market which are inexpensive and a great option.

There are many other items which you can put in your grooming kit, but these five essential items are found in almost all grooming kits.
